Written by John P. Shay this game was first published in 1982 by Solar Software for the Commodore VIC-20 under the name "Super Breakout". In 1985 this game was then released for the Commodore 16 / PLUS 4 under the name "Knock Out". It was also released for the Commodore 16 / PLUS 4 on the compilation "Triple Decker 2" published by Alternative Software and on the Italian compilation "Go Games 24" under the name "The Wall" published by Edizioni Fermont.
