A video game adaptation of the 2000 wuxia film of the same name, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon is set in 19th century China and puts players in the role of three martial artists trained in the art of Wudan: retired swordsman Li Mu Bei (portrayed by Chow Yun-fat), his lifelong friend Yu Shu Lien (portrayed by Michelle Yeoh), and the young aristocratic thief Jen (portrayed by Zhang Ziyi).

The game also received a handheld adaptation for the Game Boy Advance, developed by Ubisoft Shanghai and released in-tandem with the PS2 version in North America and Europe. Unlike the console games, this version is a 2D side-scrolling action-platformer and is focused on one protagonist (Jen).
