Overview
Land of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse (known in Japan as Mickey Mouse no Mahou no Crystal, loosely translated to "Mickey Mouse's Magical Crystal") is a 2D side-scrolling platformer developed and published by Sega for the Sega Master System (in 1992 for European regions only) and Sega Game Gear (in 1993).
Starring Disney mascot Mickey Mouse, the game is a sequel to the "8-bit" version of Castle of Illusion starring Mickey Mouse and utilizes the same gameplay and graphic style.
After falling asleep in his home while reading a book of fairy tales, Mickey awakens in a strange and desolate village, only to learn that an evil phantom has stolen the magic crystal that protects the land from bad magic. Players guide Mickey as he ventures forth to the phantom's castle high above the clouds.
