Fengshenbang

Overview

Fengshenbang ("The Investiture of the Gods") is a traditional roleplaying game developed and published for the Nintendo Entertainment System by C&E in China, 1995. Based on the Chinese epic novel of the same name, Fengshenbang is set during the final days of Shang-Yin dynasty in China (11th century BC) and sees Ne Zha, son of general Li Jing, set out to take down the evil king Zhou and end his reign over China. The game combines basic and simplistic RPG mechanics such as random enemy encounters and leveling up with first person turn-based combat.
