Bloody Wolf

A top-down shooter from Data East, originally released in the Arcades in 1988. Snake and Eagle are on a mission to save the president!

Overview

Bloody Wolf (Narazumono Sentou Butai: Bloody Wolf in Japan) is a top-down shooter from Data East released for the Arcades and the TurboGrafx-16 console. It is superficially similar to Capcom's Commando or SNK's Ikari Warriors, where the protagonist is able to shoot in eight directions and can rescue POWs around the map for additional weapons and items. The player can also ride motorbikes, which increases speed and offers more protection.

The game's story focuses around the kidnapped President and a fictional despot planning to rule the world. Eagle and Snake, the two main characters (they can also be renamed), must infiltrate the enemy's base and rescue the President.
