Phantasy Star Generation 2 mirrors the events of the original Phantasy Star II while adding character development and fleshing out the story in more detail. It featured enhanced graphics, a revised combat system, and a rearranged soundtrack.The game also allows you to load a system file from Phantasy Star Generation:1 giving you the ability to play as Nei throughout the entire game.

Phantasy Star Generation 2 was released on march 24th, 2005 in Japan and while at one point slated for American and European releases though publisher Conspiracy Entertainment, will likely never be released outside of Japan.
