Quest of D

Quest of D is a Japanese card/arcade hack n' slash published by Sega. Players battle through a dungeon using a joystick and collectible cards to use special abilities.

Overview

Quest of D was released in 2004 for Japanese arcades. Three versions were released and the game supported network play for up to four players. The network servers were however shut down in August 2010, although single play is still available.

Gameplay

The game supports the use of a smart card to save the players data, and another card reader lets the player use his/her cards. There are three kinds of cards: item cards (weapons and armor), monster cards and skill cards. These card-abilities show up on the cabinet's touchscreen (single finger touch), which is used in conjunction with a traditional joystick and a three button layout to play the game.

Players will either explore a dungeon, fighting monsters etc, or play the vs. mode where players fight against one another.
