Aselia the Eternal

A visual novel-slash-strategy RPG hybrid developed by XUSE.

Overview

Eien no Aselia: The Spirit of Eternity Sword is a mixture between a visual novel and a strategy RPG developed in Japan by Xuse for the Personal Computer. Xuse originally released the game in 2003 as an adult title for the PC but was later ported to the PlayStation 2 by Nippon Ichi Software in 2005 with all the adult content removed. The clean version of Aselia was eventually released back to the PC in 2010 and a PlayStation Portable port was published in 2012 by CyberFront.

A fan group named Dakkodango Translations created an English patch for Eien no Aselia in 2010 which was eventually purchased by JAST USA. The clean version of Aselia was published by JAST USA as an official product in 2011 under the title Aselia the Eternal, which marked the first time the company had released an all-ages title.
