Overview

Overwatch 2 is a free-to-play multiplayer first-person hero-shooter developed and digitally published by Blizzard for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 4, 2022.

The sequel to the 2016 game Overwatch, Overwatch 2 brings most of the content from the original while revamping both the monetization system (replacing loot boxes with a free-to-play seasonal pass system) and multiplayer gameplay (focusing on 5v5 gameplay). Along with regular content updates, the game now focuses on a new story-based co-operative PVE mode (with persistent leveling and unlockable Hero perks).
