While the game was never shown publicly, development was under way simultaneously with Perfect Dark in 1999. The game was obviously never completed and some questioned whether it actually ever existed. In 2015, Gregg Mayles (Creative Director at Rare, Ltd.) posted a picture on Twitter of the front cover of the game's design document dated October 30, 2000. The table of contents alluded to connectivity with Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance.
