Mahou no Shoujo: Silky Lip

A top-down adventure game inspired by Mahou Shoujo (Magical Girl) anime. Each chapter of the game is presented like an episode of a TV series.

Overview

Mahou no Shoujo: Silky Lip ("Magical Girl: Silky Lip") is an adventure game released exclusively on the Japanese Mega-CD. A PC Engine CD-ROM port was planned for 1994, but ultimately cancelled.

The game follows the adventures of the titular Silky Lip, a trainee sorceress who lives a double life as a regular schoolgirl. The game follows an episodic format, similar to an anime TV show, with each episode presenting new obstacles to overcome. Reviews at the time suggested that the game was part of a growing movement called "galge" in Japan: games made specifically for a female audience.
