Tenchu: Shadow Assassins

The first Tenchu game to arrive on the Nintendo Wii, Tenchu: Shadow Assassins is the fourth game in the main series. Players once again reprise the roles of Rikimaru and Ayame in this stealth ninja action game.

Tenchu: Shadow Assassins is the eighth release in the series and the fourth main title.

Players can perform a variety of stealth kills such as breaking an opponent's neck, drowning them in water, or stabbing them with their own sword by using the Wii Remote if playing the Wii version. The Wii Remote is also used in a dueling mode where the player sword-fights enemies in first-person-perspective using the Wii Remote, matching on-screen prompts to block and attack. To remain hidden within shadows the player can blow out candles or extinguish lanterns with water. A cover system is provided that allows the player to cling to walls or look around corners to spot potential enemies and threats. As in many other stealth-based video games, the player has the option of picking up and moving the body of a deceased enemy to decrease the chance of detection by remaining enemies.
