Llamasoft released this Tempest 2000-like game for the PlayStation Vita.

TxK was planned for ports to the PC and PS4, after being released for the Vita. However, it was struck down by Atari in March 2015, due to similarities between this and the original Tempest games. The game was held in limbo until Llamasoft and Atari came to terms in 2017. Tempest 4000 is the result of the collaboration, set to release in Spring 2018.
