Story

It is the year 3022 AD.

Humans have been at war with an alien species, referred to as the G.I.T.M. (Ghosts in the Machines), for several hundred years.

The G.I.T.M. are a race of energy entities that depend on controlling material circuitry in order to interact with matter within the known dimensions of reality.

No communication between humans and G.I.T.M. has ever been established. It is believed that the G.I.T.M.'s primary objective is to take over and consume the resources of all other life forms in the known universe.

The G.I.T.M. hoard and re-institute the remnants of defeated, discarded and stolen enemy spacecraft, in addition to manufacturing their own dangerous weapons.
